Who are Real Business Rescue?

Real Business Rescue has been supporting company directors since 1989. We paved the way for online director advice, filling a void for businesses in distress who were looking for somewhere to turn. Where directors once relied solely on their accountant for support, Real Business Rescue became, and still is, a crucial point of reference for company directors facing financial difficulty.

Official corporate insolvency figures provided by the Insolvency Service confirm that BTG Begbies Traynor, of which Real Business Rescue is a major part, is the UK's leading business recovery firm, based on the number of insolvency appointments handled each year.

These appointments include liquidations and company administrations, the most common types of formal insolvency procedure in the UK. To date, we have supported more than 25,000 company directors, helping them to understand their options and find the right path forward.

Our team and expertise

With over 80 partners operating across more than 100 offices nationwide, including representation in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and throughout England, the people that shape Real Business Rescue are the driving force behind thousands of insolvency appointments every single year.

Our team is made up of licensed insolvency practitioners and experienced business turnaround experts who help company directors just like you every single day. Every insolvency practitioner at Real Business Rescue is licensed by a recognised governing body, either the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). These independent professional bodies set the standards for insolvency practice in the UK and hold our practitioners to strict codes of conduct.
