The latest report shows:
- The region with the highest level of businesses in significant distress is London at 185,494, followed by the South East at 105,083
- Significant financial distress notably rose in the following sectors - Utilities, Food and Drug Retailers, Financial Services and Bars and Restaurants
- Significant financial distress increased in 21 of 22 sectors in Q3 2024, compared to Q2 2024
- The number of businesses in critical financial distress fell by 23%, 17% lower than Q3 2023. This trend was seen in the Hotels & Accommodation, Construction, and Real Estate and Property Services sectors
